Chipped along binding edge, with professional repairs to front cover (creasing as well as edge loss). Slightly chipped rear cover fore-edge, both covers lightly soiled. Interior clean and intact, though a bit toned. Evidently reprinted in 1904. Recounts the field work of the "Dean of American Archaeology" from 1879 forward through date of publication, in Ohio and the American Southwest: the Serpent Mound and other sites in Clermont and other counties, Ohio, also Mesa Verde, Chaco Canyon. Quite scarce.
