Accompanying this copy is an original MLS occupying three sides of stationery, signed and dated (1983) by Minotte M. Chatfield, who entered Yale in the fall of 1936 and recounts his impressions of Gundelfinger as "a person who had come to Yale and had found undergraduate mores too loose and licentious for his sensibilities and, cracking under the strain, had retired to his home in Sewickley, Pa., where a family fortune enabled him to bombard successive generations of Yale undergraduates with his abusive and monitory pamphlets."
