Full calf, newly rebacked in brown cloth, with gold foil lettering on upper spine panel, new endsheets. Leather is somewhat darkened toward edges with some scuffs and surface loss but overall remains quite decently preserved. Firm binding, clean interior. xii,13-349 pp. Alphabetical and Classical catalogues of entries. Yields valuable insights into the collecting tendencies during Colonial times and also into the reading interests of Philadelphia's Quaker community in the 18th through mid-19th centuries. Exceptionally scarce; few copies located in auction records or in institutional collections.
