Teal green cloth, lettered in white. Mild tanning to both spine extremities and slight along edges. Former owner's signature and remnants of book plate mounted on front pastedown, with slight offsetting to front flyleaf. 1st American edition, printed from British plates. 45 pp., 191 b&w plates at rear, 200+ photos total, mostly of the author's training ship, the Joseph Conrad, permanently docked at Mystic Seaport, CT. Pictorial dust jacket shows several areas of loss along top edge and head of spine panel, minor chipping at corners, also loss at heel of spine, technically only Good but still presents reasonably well in mylar.
