Dark blue cloth, lettered in gilt on front cover and upper spine, bevelled edges, top text block edge in gilt. Mild shelf wear, lightly rubbed at corners and spine extremities. Spine panel and joints are somewhat darkened by age but otherwise intact. Text block edges also a bit dulled by age, but interior and plates are clean, with only a very occasional instance of slight foxing. xii,216 pp., illus. with multiple b&w plates of 2-4 images per page, also quite a few full-page b&w plates tipped in. Firm binding.
