Grouping consists of I.4, II.1-2 (combined), II.4, III.1-4, IV.1-4, V.1, V.2, VI.3, VI.4, 7.1, VII.4, VIII.1, VIII.3, VIII.4, IX.4, representing the better part of the first 9 volumes, 1975-83. Leather is modestly rubbed but reconditioned and reasonably intact, with exposure at most corners but not displaying any tears or significant abrasions. Lacking title labels on Vol. I (lettering very neatly filled in with ink), main title label partial on Vol. II (second label intact). Minimally ex-library, with institutional book plates mounted on front pastdowns of each volume, stamps on title pages and rear pastedowns, otherwise clean. xiv,1069 + x,1070-2060 pp., illus. w/ figures in text. Minimally ex-library, institutional non-circulating, unmarked on exterior but showing clear-coated spine panel and joints, institutional book plate and former owner's signature and purchase notation on front pastedown, withdrawn stamp on both pastedowns. Leather shows a few surface marks but remains quite decent, with some rubbing to corners and minor exposure to one (bottom front). Front board shows leather separation along most of joint, reattached with library tape along inner hinge and firm; leather partially separated along portion of upper rear joint; binding firm. xii,443 pp. Text block edges typically darkened by age, some internal toning but nicely intact.
