Complete in seventeen (17) volumes, uniformly bound in gray cloth, paper title labels mounted on upper spine panels, deckled text block edges with top edges in gilt. No. 980 of an edition limited to 1,000 numbered sets, undated, reprinting the original 1886 edition. Fairly consistent VG to VG+ condition, with most volumes showing mildly soiled cloth and toned labels. Several labels show minor surface loss, Vol. 16 moderate, with some fading to red lettering on most volumes, virtually all black lettering is clear and intact. Vols. 3 and 6 show fairly pronounced spotting/lightening to mid and lower spine panels, Vol. 2 also slightly affected. Bindings firm and square, hinges intact, interiors clean and bright. 039483
