Dark blue cloth, gilt spine lettering, gilt top edge, deckled edges. Complete in two volumes. (I) xvi, 383, (II) viii, 368 pp., 45 illus. (plates, maps, site plans). Ex-library, typically marked/stamped, considerably worn but complete and intact, acceptable reference copy. Rubbed along edges and joints, with some loss at spine extremities of Vol. I (also showing repaired joints) and at head of spine of Vol. II. Most Vol. I plates show perforation stamps; Vol. II plates do not; other perforation stamps scattered through both volumes. Cosmetically suspect, but basically sound.
