Original 1769 printing, rebound in blue textured paper covered boards with handwritten title and author labels mounted on spine panel, an inelegant but functional binding showing spotting to rear cover, with new endsheets, easily reversed. [iv],147,[1] pp., w/ folding frontis. plate "Elevation of a Merchant-Ship with all her Masts, Yards, Sails & Rigging" (complete and intact, a few tiny closed tears at fold edges), folding map plate "A Chart of the Ship's Path from Candia to Cape Colonna" at p. 1 (chipped with minor loss along left edge, border mostly complete, otherwise intact). Minor edge chipping to a few early and late leaves, title and final text page mildly toned/soiled. Overall, intact in all its essentials. First issued 1762, with a second edition in 1764, this the third.
