Significantly worn, but essentially intact, showing some discoloration to upper front cover and mild soiling to covers, some dampstaining to bottom corners of both covers, 1" x 1/2" crescent of loss along lower back cover fore-edge. Front flyleaf shows elegant Dec. 1918 gift inscription to Countess della Faille (Countess Phyllis della Faille de Leverghem), at Montreal, Quebec, with calling card of the Librairie Moorthamers (Bruxelles) mounted on same, with manuscript inscription dated 1972. xvi,144 pp., 52 illus. Interior is foxed throughout, ranging light to moderate; most plates show only light foxing, often worse on the blank verso than on the illustration itself. No longer the best copy, but an interesting provenance. 031113
