First (limited) edition, housed in slipcase of gray paper covered boards, followed by a mass market edition issued in dust jacket. Slipcase shows slight shelf wear, thus Near Fine. Autobiographical love story written by Joyce in Trieste, most probably in 1914, the same year in which he began "Ulysses," wrote "Exiles" and completed "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man." 029229
